Xetal's membrane technologies (Patent no EP(UK)1173503) are based on elastomerics, polymerics and vacuum technology with the use of particle size and distribution to change resonant frequencies of materials.

Xetal has developed a range of acoustic membranes and associated products for the reduction of sound, particularly for the construction industry. These products have been incorporated into build solutions which have been exhaustively laboratory and site tested. The results are presented in “Solutions Selector”.

Xetal works closely with the Buildings Research Establishment and other professional and academic institutions to ensure that our research and development is independently tested and accredited.

Xetal markets its Xetal 8000 acoustic membrane in the UK and Ireland through Sheffield Insulation, the largest distributor of insulation in the UK, under the E-Cousti brand name.
